A common admission requirement for most MBA programs is the GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test. This standardized examination consists of four sections and takes a total of three and a half hours to complete. The following article provides additional details regarding what you can expect from the current version of the GMAT:
Analytical Writing Assessment Component
GMAT test takers are given a total of 30 minutes to complete the analytical writing assessment section. This component requires individuals to make a hand-written evaluation of a given argument. The analytical writing assessment component is analyzed by both a human scorer and a machine. Test takers are then assigned a score ranging from one to six.
Integrated Reasoning Component
The integrated reasoning section of the GMAT is the newest addition to the test and also allows test takers 30 minutes to complete. In this section, individuals must answer 12 questions from four categories—multi-source reasoning, graphics interpretation, table analysis, and two-part analysis. Test scorers award scores ranging from one to eight for this section.
Quantitative Component
The quantitative section requires test takers to answer 37 data sufficiency and problem-solving questions within a 75-minute timeframe. In most cases, individuals will need to draw upon their algebra and geometry skills when answering this component of the GMAT, which gives out scores ranging from zero to 60.
Verbal Component
The verbal section of the GMAT also assigns scores between zero and 60 for its 41 questions. Unlike the quantitative section, this part of the test analyzes a person’s ability to understand and evaluate written passages. Individuals have a total of 75 minutes to complete the verbal section.

4. Project Management – Project managers manage logistics and oversee the production of creative ideas. This role often requires understanding of corporate guidelines and experience working under budgets and deadlines. Duties may include workflow management, project planning, vendor negotiation, logistical coordination, cost control, and print buying.
5. Digital Marketing – Digital marketers take on a variety of roles including digital marketing strategist, interactive marketing manager, and digital project manager. Responsibilities may include developing user experience strategies for websites and leading website testing throughout the various phases of development.
