Different Types Of MBA Degrees Offered At Bentley University
For students who are thinking about graduate school, all of the different options can be overwhelming. Those who are going into business administration may find themselves wondering what exactly the difference is between a Bentley MBA (Master of Business Administration), a Professional MBA and an Emerging Leaders MBA. The goal of these MBA programs is to enhance career opportunities—it is simply the schedule and format of study that differ between the two paths of study.
Bentley MBA
At the McCallum Graduate School at Bentley University, the Bentley MBA program is an intensive, 11-month program broken up into four 10-week themes of study, each of which includes four courses. Students also participate in three field-based learning trips that contribute to their study. The goal of the program is to deepen students’ understanding of the different roles of business in society, and the world as a whole.
Professional MBA
The Professional MBA at the McCallum Graduate School is centered on the working professional and part-time student. The Professional MBA program offers more flexibility of schedule, and offers potential for credit for past academic work. Students are able to attend classes either on campus, or online at their home or work. The goal is to maximize study time while minimizing time spent away from the workplace. The Professional MBA program features core classes with options for specialization, as well as a dual-degree program with the Master of Science offerings of the McCallum School. Concentrations available within the Professional MBA program include Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and many others.
Emerging Leaders MBA
The Emerging Leaders MBA is a two-year, full-time program, designed for students with relatively little or no work experience, ranging from recent college graduates to those with perhaps four years of professional employment. The program provides a solid disciplinary foundation upon which students can build, taking advanced courses and concentrations, in preparation for future organizational leadership.
